We have been well and truly ensnared by Willow & Zac. The fact that they are Novocastrians is exciting for those of us who are lucky enough to call Newcastle our home. To the rest of Australia though, they are yet another facet to the broadening personality of our wonderful coastal city.
Willow & Zac’s Sophia and Xanthe would have to be the standout favourite of the pack. If you were only going to have one piece of Willow & Zac it would have to be one of these. Sophia and Xanthe are the same design, the difference being that Sophia is made of beautiful soft buttery leather, while Xanthe features the distinctive Lasya embossed suede. The only problem is choosing a colour. At the moment we actually have on hand in the shop 32 colours for you to choose from – sorry, it is a daunting task, you may have to have two. These wallet/clutch hybrids are particularly useful. Divided into 5 compartments they have room for all the essentials you need; cash, cards, phone, lipstick and glasses. Small enough to carry in your handbag and just right to grab as you step out the door to pick-up a few things. The wrist strap makes them the perfect accompaniment while out for dinner or drinks. Not only are they just right for you, but they also make wonderful gifts.
This original brand of bags is hitting sixes each season now. Firstly it was the introduction of their ‘Lasya’ leather, an embossed suede. A decadent metallic look that has wowed Willow & Zac fans everywhere. Very reminiscent of Glomesh from the 70’s (especially in the soft gold and silver), but made from modern and luxurious leather. Featured in the larger totes like Sarah and Angela as well as in the smaller clutches, Bella, Xanthe and Brooke. Each season has seen the addition of new colours. Right now the newest Lasya colours are Cocoa and Oyster.
This summer Willow & Zac have done it again with a new addition to their ranks, the introduction of a new “Shimmer” leather which is hitting stores as I write. The shine and sparkle of this eye-catching leather finish is sure to entice those girls who love a bit of bling. We took delivery of some beautiful new clutches just yesterday. Kenz is a petite little envelope with a detachable wristlet, Krystina is her big sister, both currently in Black Shimmer. We have Brooke in store in a striking Bronze Shimmer. Harmony has also grown into a larger size called Allegra; available in four colours, Black, Ink and the new Shimmers – Graphite and Sapphire.
